Maldon

Outside Gyms

NHS Mid Essex has funded outside gyms for Southminster and Tolleshunt D'Arcy.  These were installed in late February/early March 2010 in Southminster on the King George V playing field, and in Tolleshunt D'Arcy on the playing field behind the Village Hall.  Free introduction sessions will be available at both locations for individuals and groups of up to twelve people in-order to ensure that everyone 'works out safely in the open air'.

One Place on Wheels

The Dengie Project Trust have teamed up with Essex Police to bring their One Place services to the rural villages of Maldon.  'One Place on Wheels' will be travelling across the district in a mobile Police vehicle on a monthly basis, and will be manned by representatives of both Essex Police and the trained One Place team.  Together they will offer a broad range of information and advice.  The themes will include:

- Policing
- Tourist and Community Information
- Social Care
- Healthy Living
- Benefits and Housing Advice
- Volunteering opportunities and access to IT and training

Age UK Essex - Toenail Cutting Service
